Player Eligibility

What are the player eligibilty rules for WPCYO?

For the most current player eligibility guidelines, please consult the WPCYO website.

Yes, non-parishioners may join a Holy Family team at the coach’s discretion, once priority has been given to parishioners and there is a spot available on the team.

Is there a limit to how many non-parisioners can be on a team?

Yes. For the Winter Season, WPCYO rules allow up to 3 non-parishioners on a single team. If a team has more than 3 non-parishioners, it is classified as a "Center Team," which may compete during the regular season but is not eligible for playoffs.

In the Spring Season, the 3 non-parishioner limit does not apply under WPCYO rules.

Are there any exceptions for non-parishioners?

Yes. Non-parishioners whose home parish does not offer a CYO program or a team at their age level may join a neighboring parish's team with approval from the CYO County Commissioner. In this case, they do not count toward the 3 non-parishioner limit. Click to read more.
